The market at ~3% NO seems well-calibrated. Anthropic's entire business model is built around NOT releasing open weights — their safety positioning, their enterprise contracts, their Constitutional AI moat. Dario Amodei has been explicit about this in multiple interviews. The only scenario for YES: Anthropic faces an existential competitive threat from open-source models AND concludes that releasing weights is the only survival strategy. That's a narrow corridor.
