Suicidal thoughts, no reason to live, blah blah blah… improvement markets are genius, so maybe Manifold would help me improve my mental health.
Add suggestions for improving my mental health. I’ll try them and resolve each answer YES/NO based on whether it helped.
If I feel better after trying an answer, I will resolve it YES; otherwise, it is NO.
Resolves subjectively. Default resolution is within 10 days of answer creation unless stated otherwise.
I will answer any questions people might have unless I don’t feel comfortable doing so.
Just a FYI: I’m under 18, so some stuff might not be possible.
I will keep this market open until I have no problems
I will not participate in this market

I will be trying to do the following the next 10 days:
8+ hrs sleep every day, strictly scheduled.
Strenuous exercise 2+ times a week.
Others:
"Think of an app or website others would like, build it with Claude."
I built a game in Discord; around 6 people played it. I had to stop as I need to pay for some stuff, and I have to wait for that. Once I do, I’ll start that again. If I remember correctly, it didn’t help the main
cause, which is feeling like life is pointless, but it did keep me busy ill start that again when i can.
"See a doctor and discuss symptoms and treatment options." I don’t know when, but I’m going to try to do that sometime.
"Organize regular social activities for the family (games, outings, dinners, etc.)". I’m going to plan some video game nights with them ill update later
@CarlosVillanueva this is a mad coincidence - literally 10 minutes ago I stumbled on https://a.co/d/0g9LCf5E and read the free sample, which is exactly about that "life is pointless" issue.
"say yes to every opportunity to spend time with friends in person" that would prob help if i had friends but i dont 😔
@CarlosVillanueva do you go to school? There are people there who are your friends even if you don't know it yet.
This is basically the root cause of most teenage anxiety - thinking that your peers consider you a lesser person than they really do.
@CarlosVillanueva yeah that's a more complicated setup.
The first thing that comes to mind - that "regular exercise" option - make it a gym or any other place where you'd do it next to other people.
@MaxA I don’t have a driver’s permit right now, and if I did, I wouldn’t be able to drive because my family only has one car and my dad uses it for work. I could take the bus, but the nearest gym is over an hour away...
