The Xubuntu website was recently compromised, with the install links being replaced by a trojan.

This makes me seriously question the security of the Xubuntu project and whether I should continue to use it as a Linux distribution. Will Xubuntu have another security incident I subjectively consider at least as bad (I think this is pretty bad, only a few notches below a supply chain attack on the distribution/apt repositories themselves) by end of year 2026? Resolves YES if so, resolves NO if not. As a subjective heuristic the security incident should probably be bad enough to make me switch distributions to e.g. Debian.
