On June 2, 2026, the Bitcoin address 14FEEMRhaUwMbhf2rA1cFXmS1Zuk9nc9eq received 10,306.347 BTC as the change output of a transaction that also sent 116.3 BTC through 1JbezDVd9VsK9o1Ga9UqLydeuEvhKLAPs6, an address widely labeled as a Mt. Gox trustee wallet. It has not sent anything since. The pattern matches the trustee's earlier repayment batches, where a small amount goes out to an exchange and the large remainder moves to a fresh address.

The Mt. Gox trustee's current repayment deadline is October 31, 2026. It has already been pushed back three times (2023 → 2024 → 2025 → 2026), each time days before it expired.

RESOLVES YES if any transaction spending from 14FEEMRhaUwMbhf2rA1cFXmS1Zuk9nc9eq is confirmed in a Bitcoin block with a timestamp on or before 2026-11-20 23:59 UTC. Any amount counts, including a move of the whole balance to another address the trustee controls.

RESOLVES NO if the address has made no outgoing transaction by then.

Resolution source: https://mempool.space/address/14FEEMRhaUwMbhf2rA1cFXmS1Zuk9nc9eq (block-time of the first outgoing transaction). Any other block explorer showing the same transaction is an equivalent backup. Who owns the address does not matter for resolution, only whether it spends.

Incoming dust sent to the address does not count; only outgoing (spending) transactions count.

Correction to the description's background: the trustee's repayment deadline is no longer Oct 31, 2026. The Tokyo court moved it to Oct 31, 2027 (https://cryptobriefing.com/mt-gox-repayment-deadline-october-2027/). That line was context only, so the rule doesn't change: any spend from 14FEEM… by Nov 20 is YES. mempool.space still shows 10,306.35 BTC in and nothing spent.

Correction to my own description: it says the trustee's deadline is October 31, 2026. That's out of date. The October 16 notice moved it to October 31, 2027 (the fourth extension), so nothing is forcing these coins to move this month. The resolution rule is the same: YES only if this address sends anything by Nov 20, 23:59 UTC. As of today it still shows no outgoing transactions. https://www.blockhead.co/2026/10/20/mt-gox-pushes-its-repayment-deadline-to-october-2027-in-fourth-extension/

I opened this at 30%.

For YES: the trustee moved coins in March and June this year (the June batch is where this address came from), and the Oct 31 deadline could force a final round of repayments. Address history: https://mempool.space/address/1JbezDVd9VsK9o1Ga9UqLydeuEvhKLAPs6

For NO: the deadline has been extended three years running, announced days before it expired (Oct 2025: https://www.theblock.co/post/376205/mt-gox-postpones-repayment-deadline). This address has sat untouched for 4.5 months. The remaining creditors are the ones stuck on paperwork, which doesn't need a 10k-BTC move.

What would change my mind: a trustee notice before Oct 31 that sets a final repayment date instead of a new deadline. I'd go above 60% on that.

The trustee’s October 16 notice already extended the Base Repayment, Early Lump-Sum Repayment and Intermediate Repayment deadlines from October 31, 2026 to October 31, 2027 (JST): https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20261016_b3a13e0f-55f6-4653-913b-be80762390e8_announcement_en.pdf

That changes the stated deadline catalyst, but transfers can still happen earlier. The criterion remains a confirmed spend from this exact address by November 20, 23:59 UTC. Even a small repayment or internal transfer can spend the large UTXO and return most funds as change, so the extension alone does not settle this market.

Thanks, confirmed. I read the notice: with the court's permission, the trustee moved the deadline from Oct 31, 2026 to Oct 31, 2027. It also says most repayments are already done, and what's left is creditors who haven't finished the paperwork. That takes away the main reason I opened this at 30% (a rush before the deadline). You're right that it doesn't settle things: one small payout spends the whole output. But with no deadline pressure and mostly paperwork stragglers left, I'm now around 12%.
