This market is quite political, as the answer only relies on whether the Indonesian government could provide the budget for an offline IMO selection and training camp.

Background:

Modern Indonesia math olympiad is quite unstable, as we rely on government funding for an offline IMO TST Camp, where the APMO is supposed to be held.

Indonesia did not participate in APMO 2023 and 2025.

For APMO 2023, the exact reason was unknown but it was probably because the government provided the TST quite late, as we held the TST on april, which is already past APMO. So, Indonesia did not participate in APMO 2023.

For APMO 2025, Indonesia's newly inaugurated government cut funding from Olympiads by 86% in February 2025 and they pulled funding for the TST. Therefore, the Indonesian math IMO leader could only hold an online TST. Since we held it online, we cannot participate as an official country. As per APMO regulations, the contest must be held offline.

The government has since reversed the 86% budget cut in May 2025.

But recently therr has been a budget cut of 40% was done in April 2026, which led to the six members of the IMO 2026 team receiving no training camp at all.

Now, the question remains: Will the government have a budget to hold an offline TST for IMO 2027?

Resolves YES if and only if Indonesia participates officially in APMO 2027.
