@bobalobascrob paris is pretty high variability though – I find half of people absolutely love it and half hate it.
York is a good 1 or 2 night visit. Walkable (and can be circumnavigated by walking the old wall), historic, great train museum, good food options. Enjoyable train ride to get there, and can be a stop off between London and Edinburgh. Putting it out there as it’s probably underrated.

@Primer will be in Europe next week for 3 weeks. Cities on the list are places I will definitely visit, any new city needs to be not too far for me to consider. places like Manchester, Bruges, Rotterdam, Lyon are all possible destinations as they are in same country as cities already on the list.
@perfperfperf really want to visit Italy, but probably not enough time for me to visit there this trip :(
