Will Shechita (Jewish ritual slaughter of animals) be made illegal in Canada by the end of 2026?

If it becomes illegal in some parts of Canada but not others, this will resolve according to whether it is illegal in areas containing a majority of the Canadian population. Timing depends on when the law becomes in force, not when decided upon. For purposes of this market, the definition of what is considered Shechita is from mainstream Orthodox Jewish religious law. If there is a Shechita ban which only applies to certain animals (eg, cows but not chickens), this will still resolve Yes.
