I understand how prediction markets are tied to the real world - they depend on the outcome of the question. But how do stocks stay related to the concept in the title?

I predict even the mainstream media will have articles saying the "metoo" movement either went too far or went off course within the next several years, so public sentiment towards it will likely only go down.
