Most likely candidates imo:

• Palestine or Israel because that's where he lived

• Syria because I think I heard once that there's a Muslim hadith saying he'll appear above the great mosque of Damascus in the end times

• Vatican because that's the religious centre of the biggest Christian denomination

• America because that's the most powerful Christian majority nation

What do you mean? Israel and Palestine both encompass the area where he lived, and Jewish Israel is monotheistic

I know it's not the mainstream use of the term, but I was taught that all non-Christians are pagans. I don't think Christ would appear among non-Christians just because he lived there 2k years ago.
